Secrets:
This group of four dogs has raided the artist’s dustbin (trash can) outside his house at number 48. One wears a collar and another dangles a chain leash, suggesting that he has just escaped from his owner. The mouse is located in the discarded bones. One of The Harmony Circus Ringmaster’s boots can be found inside, sometimes the left boot and other times the right. The first 1446 pieces had a heavily painted red dog (until August 1996), after which the colour was subdued. The name of the piece has had multiple spellings. Hallmarks include ©, diamond, mirror image clock face with month 7, HBC logo, and Pc.

Variations:
There are three versions of this box figurine. Version 1 was the first produced and in very limited numbers. It was vividly painted and is known for the beautiful red paint on one of the dogs. Version 2 and 3 were painted in a more subdued fashion and differ in the interiors. In Version 2, the boot has the toes to the left and in Version 3, the toes are to the right.
